Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) are designed to provide both workers and emergency personnel with the proper procedures for handling and working with specific substances. They include information such as physical data (melting point, boiling point, flash point, etc.), toxicity, health effects, first aid, reactivity, storage, disposal, protective equipment, and spill/leak procedures. This information is particularly useful if an accident occurs.
MSDS's are meant for use by:
(a) Employees who might be occupationally exposed to a hazard
(b) Employers who need to have proper information
